How long is the first visit?
• Your first visit typically lasts 75 – 90 minutes and includes evaluation and treatment.

What clothing is best?
• It is important for your therapist to have access to as much of your body as possible during your treatment. For MFR to be effective, it must be performed directly on the skin. Please wear or bring loose shorts. Women can wear a bra, sports bra, or two-piece bathing suit. If you are comfortable in your underwear, that works too. Also, it is best to avoid applying lotions prior to treatment as this will hinder the effectiveness of the myofascial release techniques.

What can I expect following treatment?
•After your treatment, you may experience a slight increase in pain or discomfort, increased thirst, and/or fatigue. This will usually subside within 24 – 48 hours, but can last longer. It is important to drink lots of water after your treatment to help flush out toxins that are released from the body.

How can I help in the healing process?
•It is important that you be an active participant in your healing process by making the time for self treatment and stretching as instructed by your therapist. This can facilitate your progress as well as prevent your body from returning to it’s previous holding patterns.
